Shipping it in: four steps

The same steps for any aircraft, remote controller or payload, from any manufacturer.

Print the shipping instructions and packing slip

On our ship-in page, fill the packing slip in and print it, or print it blank and write on it. Either way it goes in the box with the equipment, so the bench knows whose it is and what happened.

Take out what we do not need

Memory cards, batteries and propellers stay with you, and the thumb sticks come off the remote. For a payload or camera, send the payload and its case only: not the mount, not the screws.

Do not send batteries, including one installed in the aircraft.

Send the aircraft and the remote

For an aircraft repair we need both, so the remote comes too. Leave the gimbal guard on the camera if you have one.

Shipping it in its hard case is fine. Take the wheels off the case first: carriers damage them often, and that damage is not covered.

Pack it so it cannot move

A box with a few inches of bubble wrap or crumpled paper on every side. Nothing should shift when the box is shaken.

The packing slip goes in on top, where it will be seen first. If you already have a ticket number from us, write it on the slip and on the outside of the box.

Ship it and keep the tracking number

Use a tracked service to the address below. Tracking is the only way either of us can find a parcel that has not arrived.

Ohio Drone Repair is not responsible for packages lost or damaged in shipping. Use a tracked service and insure the parcel for what is in it.

Once it arrives

We book it in. When we open your box, we email you a short intake form, so what arrived and what you told us are on one record.
You approve the quote. Technicians inspect it, physically and in the app, and send a free quote. Nothing is repaired until you approve it by email or phone.
It comes back with tracking. Once the repair is done and paid for, it ships back by UPS to the address on your slip, and the tracking number goes to your email.

Is the repair quote free?
Yes. The repair quote is free, and nothing is repaired until you approve it by email or phone. Labor prices are on the repair page.
