Dock 3 FAQ
Which drones work with Dock 3?
Only the DJI Matrice 4D and Matrice 4TD.
What does the site need?
A level, open spot about 1.9 × 1.9 m, 2 m from roof edges, with clear sky; a dedicated circuit, earth ground and wired internet.
What if the link, power or weather fails?
Lose the link for 6 seconds and the drone returns home. If the dock can’t take it, it lands at the surveyed alternate site. A backup battery runs comms, cover and landing for 4+ hours, and the dock’s own sensors hold launches in bad weather.
What software runs it?
DJI FlightHub 2, on DJI’s cloud or on your own servers.
Do we need a Part 107 certificate or a waiver?
Plan on Part 107 and FAA approval to fly beyond visual line of sight. See which waiver path fits.
