Patrol & alarm response

Patrols on a timer. Launches on an alarm.

DJI Dock 3 and FlightHub 2 run scheduled missions and alarm-linked flights, with live video to your security operations center.

How it works

FlightHub 2 repeats patrol routes on a schedule. When an alarm arrives with a location, FlightHub 2 picks the nearest dock and the drone flies to that spot. Your operator watches live and can take control. Every flight is logged.

Per DJI (FlightHub 2 and Dock as First Responder pages).

Integrations

Plugs into the security you already have.

Your sensors raise the alert. The dock sends the drone.

How it connects

Integrates via FlightHub 2’s API and partner platforms. DJI lists Auto Dispatch (alerts from dispatch, alarm or sensor systems), Event API, RTSP live streaming to a VMS, shareable live links, FlightHub Sync, and the DJI Cloud API for third-party platforms.

What your system can trigger depends on what it can send. It isn’t plug-and-play with any one brand. ODR does the setup and tests it during commissioning. Automatic launches and flights beyond line of sight need the right FAA approvals.

Per DJI: enterprise.dji.com (FlightHub 2, Dock as First Responder) and developer.dji.com (Cloud API).

The rules, in short

Private security flights fly under FAA Part 107, with a certificated remote pilot. Flying beyond visual line of sight, and some operations over people, need an FAA waiver. Until you hold one, a pilot or visual observer keeps the drone in sight. Night flights are allowed under Part 107 with anti-collision lighting.

We help plan the waiver path. See waivers.

General information, not legal advice. Check current FAA rules and local law.

Private security FAQ

Do we need a pilot?

Yes. Plan on a Part 107 remote pilot in command for every flight. Remote operation beyond line of sight needs an FAA waiver.

Can our cameras or alarms launch the drone?

Often, yes. Integrations run through FlightHub 2’s API and partner platforms. We confirm what your system can send during the site survey.

Which drone does Dock 3 use?

The Matrice 4TD for security: wide, zoom and thermal cameras plus an NIR light. Dock 3 also takes the Matrice 4D.

Does it fly at night and in bad weather?

It flies at night. DJI rates the dock IP56 and −22° to 122°F, and the dock’s weather sensors hold launches in unsafe conditions.

Where does the video go?

To FlightHub 2 on DJI’s cloud or your own servers, a VMS over RTSP, or a shared live link. DJI states FlightHub 2 is ISO 27001 and 27701 certified.

What does it cost?

It depends on your site, number of docks and software plan. Ask for a quote.
