How it works
Matrice 4D flies mapping routes from the dock, with RTK, 5-direction oblique and 3-direction orthophoto capture, and real-time terrain following. Its 4/3 wide camera supports mapping without GCPs. DJI Terra measures cut and fill volume on the 3D model.

A mapping drone your team flies for larger surveys.
DJI specs
4/3 CMOS 20 MP wide camera with a mechanical shutter, plus 48 MP medium tele and tele cameras; photos as often as every 0.5 s. Flown with DJI RC Plus 2 Enterprise. It isn’t a Dock 3 drone.

Which drone goes in the dock?
Matrice 4D for mapping and volumes, or Matrice 4TD if you also want thermal for night security.
Can it fly without a pilot on site?
Flights are remote from FlightHub 2. Plan on a Part 107 remote pilot, and FAA approval to fly beyond visual line of sight. See waivers.
How do we get stockpile volumes?
Fly a mapping route, build the 3D model, and measure cut and fill in DJI Terra.
Does it handle dust and weather?
DJI rates Dock 3 IP56 (−22° to 122°F) and Matrice 4D/4TD IP55 (−4° to 122°F).
Can our alarms launch it?
Yes. FlightHub 2 Auto Dispatch can take alerts from alarm or sensor systems. We confirm what yours can send during the site survey.
What does it cost?
