Gimbal won’t moveStuck, tilted, or a gimbal overload warning.
Shaky or “jello” videoWobble or ripples in footage.
Tilted horizonImage sits crooked.
Spots on thermalBurn marks or blotches in the IR image.
Blurry or foggySoft image or haze inside the lens.


Try this first
Safe checks
Remove the coverTake off the gimbal guard before powering on.
Restart bothPower-cycle the aircraft and the controller.
Update firmwareUse the manufacturer’s official app. For card-based payload updates, keep only one firmware file on the card.
Calibrate & cleanRun gimbal calibration in the app. Clean the lens. Check props for damage.

Camera questions
It started after a crash
Impacts often damage the gimbal or its ribbon cable. Stop flying and send it in.
Shaky or “jello” video
Check for bent or chipped props and loose gimbal dampers. If it stays, send it in.
Spots or burns on a thermal image
Never point a thermal camera at the sun or a laser. Doing that can damage the sensor permanently. Coming soon
Fog inside the lens
Let it dry in a dry room. Don’t heat it. If the fog comes back, send it in.
A firmware update failed
Don’t power off during an update. If it keeps failing, contact us before trying again.
